BotsAI is a product of JamstackAI. We provide AI-powered WhatsApp bots for businesses, powered by Claude AI (Anthropic). We are committed to ethical AI and transparent data practices.
2. What Data We Collect
From business owners (bot creators):
- Business information you provide (name, description, services, pricing, hours)
- WhatsApp phone number
- Files you upload (menus, price lists, PDFs)
- Payment information (processed by our payment provider, Polar)
- Conversations with your AI customer success manager
From customers (people messaging a BotsAI bot):
- WhatsApp phone number
- Message content sent to the bot
- Interaction metadata (timestamps, message count)
From website visitors:
- Standard web analytics (pages visited, referral source)
- Affiliate tracking identifier (if arriving via a referral link)
3. How We Use Your Data
- To operate the service — your business data trains your bot to respond accurately to customers.
- To provide the AI customer success manager — conversation history allows your manager to provide personalized support.
- To power the BotsAI network — business information is used to match customers with relevant businesses.
- To send summaries — daily conversation and lead summaries are generated from bot interactions.
- To improve the service — aggregated, anonymized usage data helps us improve our AI and platform.
- To process payments — payment data is shared with our payment provider (Polar) solely for billing purposes.
4. AI Processing
Your data is processed by Claude AI (by Anthropic) to generate bot responses and customer success manager interactions. Key points:
- We use Anthropic's API, which does not use your data to train their models.
- Conversations are processed in real-time and are not stored by Anthropic beyond the API call.
- We retain conversation logs on our servers to provide the service (summaries, context continuity).
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your data. We share data only with:
- Anthropic (Claude AI) — to process AI responses
- WhatsApp / Meta — messages are transmitted via WhatsApp's infrastructure
- Polar — to process payments
- Law enforcement — only when required by law
6. Data Retention
- Active accounts: data is retained for the duration of your subscription.
- After cancellation: business data and bot configurations are deleted within 30 days.
- Customer conversation logs: retained for 90 days after the last interaction, then deleted.
- Payment records: retained as required by applicable tax and financial regulations.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data — ask your AI manager "what data do you have about me?"
- Correct your data — update your business information at any time via WhatsApp
- Delete your data — request full deletion by contacting us
- Export your data — request a copy of your data in a standard format
- Opt out of the network — remove your business from the BotsAI directory
8. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including:
- Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS / WhatsApp end-to-end encryption)
- Secure server infrastructure
- Access controls and authentication
No system is 100% secure. We encourage you not to share sensitive personal information (ID numbers, credit card details) through the bot.
9. Cookies & Tracking
Our website uses minimal tracking:
- Affiliate referral tracking (stored in localStorage)
- No third-party advertising cookies
- No tracking pixels (unless explicitly added for your own affiliate campaigns)
10. Children's Privacy
BotsAI is not intended for use by anyone under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to active users via WhatsApp. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
